5+ Quart Jug of Motorcraft, WTF?

Why in God's name would someone make a 5.28qt jug of oil? I know I'm simple minded, but I much prefer oil to come in round qt amounts. Unfortunately, I just realized this was the case when I was surveying my stuff for my oil change. Now I have to leave the dregs in the bottom of one of the loose qt jugs.

What you got was a 5 LITER bottle. Sounds like it was meant for Canada rather than the US. The 5 quart bottles are just that, 5 quarts.

5 liters = 5.28qts.

HA! Look at the Canuckistanian calling the kettle black!

Who in their right mind uses L/100KM?

Must be a result of too little sunlight and too much Canadian Club.

Y'all would be surprised at how many L's of CC we can consume in 100km !

What engine are you doing the oil change on that uses exactly 5 quarts anyways?

I just went and checked mine and it says 5 quarts too. One time I went to wally world and bought a jug of pennzoil long ago and when I dumped it in it was black! Some *** hat changed the oil in his car and put the old oil back in and returned it for a refund. Always check the seal before you walk out the door with it.

Not an *** hat; just Canuckistanian that changed his oil after a 3000KM trip and couldn't remember which jug was which.

Imagine AutoZone's surprise when they found a full, new jug of Pennzoil in the oil recycle bin.

We've got a winner. I just went back out and it sure is a 5L jug. I got it at the local Autozone and they had a full shelf full of them. What a pain.

I have the 5.4L. I got a 5 Liter and (2) 1qt jugs for a total 7.28qts. I was shooting for 7qts.

My new filter usually takes about 1/4 of a quart just to wet the paper, I dont see a problem with .28 of a quart extra....

Our local Autozone sells them the same way 5.28 quarts. They call it a 5+ jug, says it right there near the top of jug. Now what to do with .28 quarts of oil. I guess after 34 oil changes I will have enough to do one for free.
