2011 Platinum / Lariat Limited / Harley Davidson
The AWD HD can be switched between 2WD,4-Hi, and AWD....so gas consumption will be the same in 2WD.
If you add options and compare all three, Platinum is still the most expensive highest trim.
Platinum: 6.2, 4x4, 5.5 bed, 3.73 ls, white-tri, with all options: $54,445.00
EcoBoost, 4x4, 6.5 bed, 3.73 ls, white-tri, with all options: $53,825.00 (without white tri, $53,330.00)
Harley: 6.2, AWD, 5.5 bed, bed extender, tailgate step, rubber mats: $52,835.00
Lariat Limited: 6.2, AWD, 5.5 bed, bed extender, tailgate step, rubber mats: $52,060.00
US pricing: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2011/Ford
PS Add the orange SuperCrew Raptor into the mix and it beats Platinum by a hair...
$54,535.00 with orange paint and orange insert seats, and all options
$53,960.00 with orange paint and all options but orange seats
$53,465.00 without orange paint or seats, with all other options
The biggest loser? Lariat Limited. The lowest of the four even though it has the 6.2.
King Ranch? Lost but not forgotten. Back in the day it was the highest trim. It still soldiers on with EcoBoost, 4x4 off-road package, a 6.5 bed, max tow, all options: $52,250.00 beating the Lariat Limited. With chrome running boards: $52,995.00 beating both Lariat Limited and Harley.

Re: Any of you pull the pin on order yet? Yes. I ordered an '11 Harley, Ingot Silver, back in Oct. Still no build date. Only option, Bed extender and for dealer to remove graphics before delivery. Hope it arrives before YE, otherwise I will need to renew registration. Trading in my '08 Mk LT, also Silver. Of course now the project can begin anew ie: Tires & wheels, suspension, CAI, tuner etc.
When looking for my '09, my Lariat seemed to have same or better than a Platinum.
My Lariat SuperCrew has the 6.5' bed, Leather seats, Heated and cooled seats, Center console, etc etc.
I'm glad I dont have that big 'ol platinum plank on the tail gate.
