Installing a leveling kit...

I was checking the level in my truck and I see that there is a difference of
2in low at the front, so I was thinking if I do install a 3in leveling kit at the front and 1in at the rear, just to make the lift as high enough (with less money, of course), will that do the trick? is there anything that I should be concern if I do this lift with just the leveling kit? is 3in too much for the front wheels components like bushing and such? How about 2.5in and leave the rear alone? I just want to do this right and by myself.
BTW I'm not a big fun of chrome and I like to replace my front grill for a black one and ptm surround. Does any one knows where can I get one besides the dealer?
Thanks in advance.

you should be able to go to any suspension place and they should do it for pretty cheap. so are you going with new wheels and tire too? good luck and post some pics when you are done...

It'll look very nose high with the 2.5" level, even with the 2" for some people it does. 2" level and 1" block in back would look pretty good in my opinion

depends on what you have. I just got off the phone with autospring. they say 2.5 in the front and a 3 inch in the rear so the tail doesn't dip with loads on it. I looked and on my XLT, I didn't have a factory 1 5/8 inch lift that was to be replaced by the 3 inch rear block, so I ordered the 1.5 inch lift block for 2wd. Most 4wd have the 1 5/8 inch rear block. Don't quote me on that.

So, I'm putting in the front 2.5 inch leveling kit and rear 1.5 inch block. 3 inches in the front would be too much I think.

I guess I should go with the 2.5 in just like you're going to -delirious- I dont want to put too much stress on my suspension with the 3in. I like to work on my cars myself so this is something that I'm going to work on, about the tires and rims, well, after I check my budget, i'll start looking around and see what I can find I like to go with stock rims but
18s, how about the ones from the 2007 08 FX4 will those fit?
