Continued A/C Woes.

So I took my 2010 Screw Lariat back in once again to see if I can get the A/C to work decently. Still no luck and they say it is normal, again. My $10K commuter is better. The dealer says it is a big cabin. So is that of my 300C and it cools down instantly and the car is black. This is ridiculous. I love my truck, but I'm not happy at all about living with this A/C.

Yes, I agree it is horse puckey. I don't want to get a 2011, but if we have another summer like this one in Texas, this 2010 will have to go.

You need to get a thermometer with a long probe and stick it in the middle front vent. Get one that reads from 0 to 100 F.

It should read between 40-43 F. If it doesn't take your truck in and demand it gets fixed.

Take the thermometer and try on another new truck in the dealers parking lot to prove your point.

The A/C in my 2010 Lariat blows ice cold and this is on 100 F day in east texas. And my thermometer reads about 41 F in the middle vent.

Agreed. I routinely keep a A/C thermometer in my vent and it constantly stays in the blue region (~40 degrees). The thermometers are cheap. Pick one up and see what you're really getting, then go to the dealer and complain.

Cab size has little to do with it, other than taking longer to cool down. If the system is working, the air from the vents should be cold minutes after starting the vehicle and you ought to have cool air blowing on your face while the cabin cools. In our other cars and trucks, the left vent has to point away from my left hand or it gets too cold...not a problem in this truck by a long shot.

Is this a new problem, or has it been like that from day one? I have a black XLT and live in the Mojave desert and it keeps my comfortable. If Im sitting in traffic for a long period of time it isnt cold, but still does the job.

MGD, I didn't see your link. That is funny. I'm sure all have seen my posts about the ecoboost engines. Now if they would ecoboost the A/C system, I would be all FOR that!

Jason, pretty much from day one. It just seems to continue to get worse and it is finally cooling down a little here.

Mine only blows 42 on Max A/C or when the outside temp is 80. On normal it is almost useless. I should not have to run it on Max all the time. When it was 105 out, it would cut it on Max A/C. It is the worst part of the truck. I am not happy with it.
At Idle, it gets warm. I have had a thermometer in it since the 2nd week I got it. It just doesn't seem to soak the air with cold. I have run the thermo in the cup holder, to see how cool the air in the front of the cab was, and it just isnt keeping up.

Very disappointed.

Quit complaining and take it in under warranty!

I almost always run MAX on my A/C. I'm going to get a thermometer to see what the temp is. I'm curious. Its not great, but its not aweful.

Uh, as stated, I did this to no avail. It has been in four times for this issue and still no resolution.
