Misc. Questions on New 2010 Lariat

Brought my new 2010 Lariat supercrew home last week. First pickup. Makes my garage look small.

Miscellaneous questions - any help is appreciated; still waiting on my salesman to call me back . . . and still waiting . . . .

1. There are plastic clips on each of the sun visors. They seem too small to be used for sunglasses. What are they?
2. Under the rear seats, there are plastic clips. Thought I saw them mentioned in the owner's manual, but then couldn't find it again. What are these for?
3. The glove box contained a plastic pouch labeled "Rear Video Camera Wiring Protective Cap. Refer to the owner's manual for proper use." Of course, there isn't any mention in the owner's manual of what to do with the "wiring protective cap." Why do I have this thing?
4. Where can I find the key code - not the one for the keyless entry, but the actual keys. There were two identical white pieces of paper attached to the keyring with a UPC and a five digit number - is this it?

Thanks folks. Already learning a lot of good stuff in this forum.

some answers:

1. credit cards etc
2. to hang plastic shopping bags filled with items and the like
3. I think to use for when you remove tailgate, if need be (p. 114 (1st printing anyway) in manual)
4. yep ( I think?)

good luck with new truck. Salesman did not call you back yet either because he is stupid and does not know, or care about the answers, or, because he does not need to call you back, he already made the sale. Typical in either case unfortunately.

I find the clip on the sun visor great for holding a toll ticket.

Does everyone get those dealer surveys after they purchase? Because I love it when I get to the question: "Has your salesperson contacted you since the sale?"

Yeh... right. NO. NEVER. And I've bought 4 brand-new F-150's since 1996.

The key code is on the little white paper attached to the key rings. Be careful, it wears fast if you don't remove it and put it in the glove box or something.

I'm jealous that you actually got it in the garage. The only way mine would fit would be to almost bumpt the front wall and remove my hitch ball. Too much effort on a daily basis, so my Stang is in there.

Enjoy. They are nice trucks.

There isn't any room to spare in mine, that's for sure.

Thanks all for your replies. It is a nice truck. And my wife, who before I got it said "I'm not a truck girl," now says "I feel like I'm vacation everytime I get in it."

I like the plastic tabs under the rear seat to hang grocery bags. I was as excited about that as having a 12 volt outlet in my console. When I get home from the grocery store, I don't have to spend as much time finding groceries and rebagging them as I do on my 2004 XLT SCrew.
