I dont need any smartass comments about what a truck should be used for and blah blah, If you can help GREAT. If not then just keep it to yourself its my truck so save it. With that said, how much should a kit run for my truck for front and back. I dont want hydrolics just bags so I can raise, lower or keep at stock height whenever I want. Just interested to see how much it runs and what is reasonable.

1fast4.6 - I dont need it on the ground of anything, I mean just as low as it can go without cutting wheel wells and all that. I just want to be able to adjust it when and how I want....lower, raise (when towing), keep at stock height...all that whenever I need be.

dlenkewich - Thats what happens when there are so many *******s on here that think they know the purpose of everyones truck. Not everyone buys a truck to go mudding and raise the hell out of it. And ive seen those comments time and time again, so no attitude just simply saying I dont want to hear it. You would know when I have an attitude, trust me.

 

On the front you can use ridetech air strut. And to get a little more use the drop lca's. And for the rear you would not "HAVE" to notch it but It would work way better. And use their rear link kit.

 

There's a couple of ways you could do this. Like someone else said, it depends on how low you want to go, and how much $$$ you have to spend. Are you doing the work yourself, or paying a shop to do it? Thats a huge part of the $$. If doing yourself, do you have welding capabilities......if so you can save even more out back. Bolt on kits are more expensive.

You need to figure the cost for 4 bags, 8 valves, 2 compressors, 1 tank, 1 switchbox, all the lines and fittings, 4 drop shocks, 4 link kit, c-notch kit, bag brackets and shock relocation hardware, notch cover......etc.

I've been doing this a long time, have bagged quite a few of my trucks(although never a fullsize), and even more trucks for customers. One common thing I find is that people generally underestimate the scale of a properly bagged truck, which means the price. So they try to cut corners or only lower it a little bit........6mos later they rip everything out make the truck lay frame, and completely re-do the suspension, which ends up costing them way more than if they would have just bit the bullet and set it up right from the start. Trust me, it won't be low enough til the rockers are on the ground. Might as well just start there, you'll get tired of rubbing eventually and do it anyway.

I tend to order most of my stuff from suicidedoors. Start with this kit, http://www.suicidedoors.com/air-mana...ement-kit-1-12 then add everything else. Go with slam specialties bags, viair compressors, and SMC or Parker valves. You may not need 1/2" valves and lines, but like I said before.....you'll want them eventually. Slow switches suck.

Have you thought about just doing a 'standard' drop (2/4 or 3/5, whatever floats your boat) and then adding 'helper' bags in the rear to level it out when towing?

That's my current plan, though I don't even have my truck yet, so I haven't exactly done a lot of research...
