WHen buying used, would you prefer Leather or Navigation?

Im thinking about selling my 2009 STX Single cab with 20" FX4/Lariet wheels, mirror/reflector mod, and XLT chrome a/c vents, and have a little more money to spend on it to do what i would think make it worth more. My question is, would you prefer a used truck with like new Katzkin leather seats or a new pioneer Navigation unit, or possibly an OEM Navigaton. Or would you think leaving it stock would be the better chice?

personally, leather. I live in a city that I know pretty well and navagation doesn't put a smile on my face like my leather seats. If you have a Job where you need nav, then maybe. But people don't use it as much as they can enjoy leather seats.

I would be really surprised if you got more money than you spent to add either of these options. I, personally, would only add them if I wanted them and planned to keep the truck for a while. I'd leave it stock and keep the money.

Navigation detracts value. Its outdated once you buy it

+1!

You will NOT get your money back out of a mod unless you find a sucker. Keep your mod money to spend on the next vehicle.

Definately leather. Cloth seats in a truck can be difficult if you don't want stains, etc., depending upon use. I'm constantly in and out of the water all summer long with my boat and jet sksi, so the cloth gets water stains. I just wipe the leather down each time and move on with no issues.

If you want more money when you sell your used truck, wash and wax it really good. Maybe touch up any paint chips and fix anything that's broken. Make sure you fill out the maintenance log in the owner's manual to show you took care of it.

If you're really set on spending money though, go with the leather. As already pointed out, navigation is outdated when you buy it, plus it replaces the radio. I hate touchscreen radios and have yet to find one that's really made well and is easy to use while driving (after-market that is...haven't tried any OEM ones).

Leather for sure, a $150 Garmin is as good or better than any navigation system in most vehicles.

I have to agree with the leather also. Nav in a car is useless with all the Garmin's and such available now. Personally I use the Nav on my phone and it's never let me down.

No offense but it doesn't matter what you do to it, its still a regular cab STX (not a knock, I own one). Mods don't add value, if you want to sell it keep it as stock as possible and sell your after market accessories on ebay and you will come out ahead.

I would have got fabric is it came on the Lariat. Leather is hot in the summer and cold in winter.

The sync is ok but not nearly as good as a gps. Definately prefer gps.
