Please...Tell me I'm crazy

Ok guys, I need your help...... While looking at my new baby(3 days old) i noticed something that really caught my attention in a major way. Look at the below pics....one is the perfect alignment of my hood and fender on the drivers side, while the other is the not so perfect passenger side. What do i do? Is this "acceptable"? Should I demand it be fixed!! My first reaction after spending close to 40k on a new truck is that this it totally unacceptable...and trust me, it looks even worse in person

I could really use some advise....

i had a problem like that with another vehicle and they replaced the fender i would take it to them they might be able to adjust it or just replace the fender.

Hell yeah Id take it back. Id also ask for a Carfax, its not beyond a dealership to repair a vehicle that has been damaged on the lot and not tell you. But usually misaligned panels and/or other body parts mean some kind of accident. Unless the final inspector at the plant was asleep that day, Id think something happened to if afterwards.

have it fixed now or they will never fix it.

Most likely will have to replace the fender for you if they can't adjust it.

1. It's a pickup truck.

2. It's mass-produced - by non-unionized robots and unionized humans.

3. It's inspected by unionized humans.

4. It's not a Mercedes or a BMW.

5. If you really knew how poorly the non-unionized welding robots performed you would never buy a Ford. (Hints: extreme welding flash and anti-corrosion coating destruction. Both addressable via process changes - which Ford chooses not to do in the name of throughput and TCO).

6. Best that you don't know the above - what y'all don't see won't hurt y'all - (Ford mantra) . Oh, crap... oops!. Tee-hee

7. Yer OCD.

8. Deal with it. Be more concerned with the plaque buildup in yer arteries and the zits on yer butt.

9. Yep - yer crazy

Interesting. I'm going to have to look at mine before I leave this morning. Let us know what the dealer says if/when you bring it in.

Dude, I would take that bitch back to the dealer in a heartbeat!!

Dont settle for poor quality when you just spent at least 40k.

Wow...Thanks for all the feed back, I really appreciate it!!! UPDATE: I took the truck to my dealer today and my fleet manager(sales guy) said he would be upset too...walked me over to the Service Director who also felt it was unacceptable. Asked when i wanted a rental car and that his people are much better than robots and would get me all fixed up. They also felt it just needed a minor adjustment. I cant tell you how much better I feel after such a pleasurable experience from my dealer. I left completely reassured and happy I bought he truck from them. Cudos to Cerritos Ford!
