Seatbelt Dinger

Hey guys.. Once again my friend is lettin me borrow his account.. Im tryin to disable the seatbelt dinger on an 09 f150 lariat.. Ive tried the procedure and on my 2010 f250 the procedure is the same and it worked on it, but i cant get it to work on the 150..

BeltMinder_ activation and deactivation procedure
1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (or ON) position. (DO NOT START THE ENGINE)
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (Approximately 1 minute)
• Step 3 must be completed within 60 seconds after the safety belt warning light turns off.
3. At a moderate speed, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 9 times, ending with the safety belt in the unbuckled state.
• After Step 3 is complete, the safety belt warning light will be turned on for 3 seconds.
• If Step 4 does not occur within 10 seconds at the end of Step 3, BeltMinder_ will automatically exit programming mode without changing its enable status.
4. Within 10 seconds of the light turning on, at a moderate speed, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
• This will disable the BeltMinder_ feature if it is currently enabled. As confirmation, the safety belt warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
• This will enable the BeltMinder_ feature if it is currently disabled. As confirmation, the safety belt warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with the light off, then followed by the safety belt warning light flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds again.
5. After receiving confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete

I just did it to my 2010 F150, and when I tried it 9 times, it failed. I had seen the light come on in the middle of the "9 times" sequence of buckling... but when finished, the light wasn't on.
I pressed the parking brake and tried again, and paid more attention to the light rather than my aim with the buckle... and the light came on on the 6th buckle, not the 9th, which is when I thought I had seen it the 1st time I tried.

The thing then flashed quickly once, then nothing, then flashed quickly again... which if I read the instructions correctly, it should mean it has been turned ON, but it was already ON, so I'll see when I go to drive it next.

Try watching for the light in the middle of the buckling sequence, then when you see it, stop, when it goes out, buckle it one more time, and it should flash quickly.

I've done both of my seats twice already (truck was flashed back to stock once by dealer), and it's the best mod I've done to my truck bar none....and for free.

You are doing it wrong. Set the parking brake and put the transmission in PARK. Turn the ignition to ON but do not start. Wait about one minute until the seat belt warning light on the dash goes out. Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt you wish to deactivate THREE times after which the air bag warning light will be turned on for about 3 seconds, when the light turns off buckle and unbuckle the seat belt once more and the seat belt warning light should flash rapidly 12 times signaling you were successful. You can find a more comprehensive explanation on pages 183 and 184 of your owner’s manual.

Yeah, it didn't take doing it the 9 times as posted before or the 6 times I tried, and thinking about it, I don't really mind the chime for the belts as much as the door chime... so I may try it again but thanks for the page numbers in the manual, I'll look into it more if I decide to de-activate it after all
