Fixing a wind noise problem.
Fixing a wind noise problem.
What are the chances of the dealer actually trouble shooting and fixing a wind noise problem that I have in my 2010 Ford Super Crew. I have tried to determine exactly where it’s coming from by taping up the door seems and the outer edge of the windshield and then going for a drive down the highway but I still can’t figure out where it’s coming from. It’s a whistling sound that I can hear clearly while driving down the highway with the radio off.
I’m open to suggestions.

I have the same problem with my 2010 F250 as well. It is coming from the drivers side but can't pin point the exact location. No bug shield or vent visor.
Drives me crazy. seems to only happen a highway speed and when it is very windy out side??

FYI, I determined that the wind noise was in fact caused by the shield. I have not changed or removed it because I really like the way it looks, but in a few years when it most likely fades I will buy another brand.
Good luck to you other folks who are trying to solve your wind noise problems.

I have the same exact problem with my 2010 Screw. I only hear the whistling at 65 mph or above and not consistently. I never noticed this until after I put on the bugshield. So I am assuming the bugshield is the culprit.
I figured out that it was the shield by taping up the gap between the hood and the shield with wide blue painters tape and took it for a ride down the highway, with the gap all sealed up the wind noise had stopped.
best of luck to ya,

My 2010 F-150 Super cab has a terrible wind noise coming from the windshield in the middle but a little towards the passenger side. The dealer had a windshield company take it out and reseal it. It made it a little better for awhile but is now getting worse. It is a hissing noise. I do have a factory installed bug shield.
