4wd Low range at 70 MPH

When I am driving down the freeway at 70 mph and put my truck into Low range it will not shift. When i Stop it goes right into gear. Any thought on the problem?

it will jump into 4 wd High all the way up to 95 though.

Also, If i press on the pedal beside the gas pedal there are two big red lights that come on by the tail gate.

This truck has all kinds of problems.

Im sure the service department would have laughed at you, and then charged you an arm and a leg to replace the drive train. Im pretty sure your owners manual gives you speeds at which you can safely put it into 4 low. Are you doing this just to see what will happen?

Years ago I knew a guy who lost all braking !! He had to stop so the only thing he could do was to put it in reverse . That stopped it ! Of course he totally destroyed his transmission !

I was racing a guy back about 96 or 97 and he was shifting his auto tranny out manually. He skipped past drive, past netural, and into reverse. He was ahead until he did that.... I was nice enough to tow him home if he agreed to wash the ATF off of my truck...
