Tailgate chipped now rusting

Through my own fault the bottom of the tailgate chipped and is now rusting. Never checked the clearance for the screw on the tailgate led vs tailgate lip. Any ideas on cost to fix?

Went to my local dealer after work and the Body Shop manager will take the tailgate and refinish the bottom edge for $50, also for $200 more they will paint to match my wheel well trim. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Sounds like a good price to me. A couple weeks ago I accidentally backed into the dumpster at work and put a half penny sized chip to the sheet metal on the side of my tailgate. I put touch up paint on it that day and you can't even tell without looking for it. Before the touch up paint you could see if from 20 ft away on the white truck.

Not a bad price at all.

As for the wheel trim, make sure they sand it smooth before painting otherwise you'll get the orange peel look.

The painter that did my 06 wheel trim still works @ the dealer. He did a great job on them.
