Secure Storage

I know this has been posted already on this forum but I just installed one myself and had to show it off. It is very secure and was easy to install. Took me less than 30 minutes.

Installed:

With my Glock 17C:

Check out the original Thread for more Details.

If you need some secure storage I would definitely get one.

Any Idea why my pictures don't show up?

Using the same logic: the doors lock so why would you need a locking console?

I would say the flow through console is secure enough to keep my three year old out. I would not put a firearm or a laptop in there and feel that it is secure. All it takes is a screwdriver or a firm grasp on the cover to yank it open.

lol well to continue using the same logic..... no matter what, locks ONLY keep honest people out. if there is something there and some thief wants it it will disappear.

That is true but the box I just installed will make it very hard to brake into. Can it be done? Yes, but with a lot of effort. A screwdriver will not get you anywhere with it. It would take either a good bit of sawing with a battery recip. saw, or to disassemble the console. It will take better than 15 minutes to take apart if you already knew exactly how to do it.

It just has to be hard enough to send the thief on to the next easier target. I don't like the idea of leaving a firearm in a vehicle even with this lock box. However there is no way I would just put it in the console with a plastic lock. Not ever for 2 minutes.

I have seen that before, Consolevault. It is just too much money for a lid and cheesy frame. Not even a complete box.
