will level kit void warranty
Hi there all i am new here . I just purchased a 2010 fx2 supercrew and want to level the front . Off Road Wherehouse will do it for 230 but will it affect my warranty any help would be great.
I went up to my dealer and asked them this very question. Let me start by saying I know them very well, I work at a shop in the town and deal with these people every single day.....first name basis, they know my cell number by memory type of people.
Anyway, they basically said....as long as it's done right, no. It won't mess with your warranty at all. They said they would kind of just "not say anything" about it.
I don't know if that's just because I know them, or they really don't care.....but after hearing that i went ahead and ordered the parts.
I would ask them for yourself and see what they say. Chances are, you'll be fine.

I took mi 2010 f150 in for a slight shimmy in the rear whe taking off. There is a TSB for the problem( a shim kit to correct the pinion angle) that Ford will cover unless there is a lift or leveling kit installed on the truck. Needless to say I had to take mine off.(&**&)*&$)(.
My shimmy is fixed though.

If the dealership can pinpoint your specific mod to whatever has failed on the truck then yes they can not warranty that repair. But most likely if your A/C fails etc your leveling kit won't be the cause.

Moss-Magnuson (sp?) warranty act states they can't void a warranty just because of modification, they have to prove it caused. That to say if you wear the front end bearings out early and have a level kit they probably won't warranty it, but like said above if your A/C messes up it won't effect it. Now if you have a tranny problem that could get tricky.
