2010 Slow Take Off

I've noticed on my 2010 Platinum that I don't have the greatest take off from a dead stop. It feels sluggish. Now at 40-50 mph you are at 90 in no time. The other thing I have noticed is that when I take a turn at slow speeds (under 15 mph) it seems to hesitate before it finds the gear and wants to go. Anyone else having a similar issue?

get a custom tune and you'll never look back. it will get rid of the torque management among other improvements

What rear gear does your truck have?

My '10 XLT 6sp. snaps your head back on a normal take off. If you have the 6sp. place the shifter in the 2nd gear and it will start and remain in 2nd from a dead stop. Same with 3rd gear. Check to see if it's dropping into first gear from a stop.

I'd be scared I'd blow the thing up doing that lol. How do you check to see if it's in first gear?

Check to see if there is a diffence between Drive and starting in 2nd. Then try starting from a stop after manually shifting to 1st and check the difference. If it's still sluggish, you might have a tranny problem, either mechanical or software.

How long have you had the truck? It takes time for the PCM to learn your driving style and adjust everything for the best performance.
