Now there's no excuse for not having dual clutch transmissions in a F-150 or other pickups ! I want one for my F-150 !

Dream on ...

And to do what? This? "...features wet clutches and incorporates the ability to creep in traffic for smoother operation..."

I do that very well already - every day

You ever driven a Jetta TDI with DSG? It's pretty nasty.

They used to have a way for trucks to creep in traffic. You could do that in granny gear... and if you wanted to double-clutch, a non-synchronized transmission would let you do that.

How I remember the fun I had with my 1953 Chevy half-ton with a four on the floor non-synchronized transmission w/granny and 4.11 read end. I think the clutch and flywheel were the same diameter as a hula-hoop. That thing could climb walls.
