Finally sold my 04, Now I have questions..

OK so my 04 sold today so i will be buying a new truck in the next few days.

Does anyone think the rebates may change August 1st? Right now all I can get is $3500 or $4500 with ford credit. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to wait until the first to see what may happen?

Personally I would wait till August but you can at least see whats available out there. The incentives shouldn't be any worse; likely will be better.

I've noticed over the years that Ford runs the same basic set of incentives at the same time of year. There are some variations here and there, but if you can track down any of last august's dealer or Ford advertisements, you may be able to gleen a little bit of info regarding what the incentives may become when they change.

Not sure if there's anyway to find out this old info, but worth a shot...

That sucks, that is my thing I hear people say that you get ripped off trading in a truck but for me I will take less to not have to deal with trying to sell it on my own, a big hastle that just isn't worth it to me. Also I have learned at least here in Texas would assume it is the same if you buy a new or used vehicle without a trade you pay taxes on the full amount financed, if you trade you only pay taxes on the difference saves a little money as well.

As far as rebates I just bought my 2010, I got $4500 off for using ford credit and they took another $3000 off of that. So don't just look at rebates once you start working the deal there is always more they can take off.
