On my old truck I replaced the fog light blubs with a higher intensity bulb, any good suggestions for a replacement bulb these days?

 

Id go with a low wattage HID kit personally.

Did you do this with your fog lamps? Do the HID kits just make them brighter, or does it change the beam at all. Do you have any pics with them on to show us.

 

I have no pictures but they do light up alot better than the stock halogens. I have the ddmtuning fogs and headlights (although I am waiting on a replacement bulb for the one I broke). Got the 35W 5K and they are very nice.

 

I don't have either on the truck, but I had them both on the car I traded in........'01 Audi S4(stage 3.....completely done and modded...about 400hp AWD 6SPD..... was an idiot to get rid of it.......I need another track car something fierce.....but whatever) and was very happy with them. 4 years and zero issues. I WILL put them in the truck eventually.

 

Thanks tdel10. Good information to file. I just bought a new right rear tail light assy that was damaged, I'm sure it was in Wall Mart parking lot. Luckily no paint damage, Just the tail light. I knew better, but was in a rush. New assy was $134.00 which was less than i thought it would be. When the rain stops, I'll replace it. Anyway, good info.

 

i have the ddm 55w 5000k on my 2010 fx2 and the world is much brighter now. this is the second time i have used ddm products and the work great no wire cutting just plug in play. i have the hi lo for my truck and they were only 65 dollars with lifetime warranty on transformer and 1 year on the bulbs .
