2007 -> 2010 lift and tires?

I just bought a 2010 FX4 after having a 2007 FX4 with a 2.5" leveling kit, 3" blocks and 325/60/20's. The plan is to put the same setup on my 2010, it doesn't look like much has changed in that area so can I assume it will all fit the same?

I've ordered up a new AS 2.5" front kit, the rear looks like it will transfer over and the 20" wheel specs seem the same.

Any comments would be appreciated

i think the rake is not as bad in the front end as the old ones but if you are putting the block in the rear should be ok if not it will sit higher in the front

Not to mention the 2.5" As up front will be a biatch to install! A 2" is hard enough. Have fun bud! but yes it will all fit!

I wouldn't say it's a biatch, I installed the 2.5" on my 2007 myself, with limited tools and basic mechanical knowledge. Yes, even a monkey could do it.

Trust him (and me)! I installed a 2.5" on my old 2004 and I helped a friend install a 2" on his 2010. The 2009 and up F150 has a stamped steel LCA, instead of the 2004-2008's aluminum LCA. The stamping has a ridge that makes it nearly impossible to even get the 2" in there without removing the entire LCA. The good news is that the rake is not as much on the 2009 and up, so a 2" makes it perfectly level.

Just wait until you install it! I have a 2.5" as well and it was a beyatch!

It's all done, I was limited with time so I had a shop do it so I don't know how much of a bitch it was.

One nice thing, with the 07 it rubbed pretty hard on the upper control arms at full lock, with the '10 it barely rubs at all. Now I've still got the 07 FX4 wheels on, the tire swap happens tomorrow.

I hear when you level the 10' and change to bigger tires the traction control lights go off all the time, any truth to this??

I've only had the tires on 2 days but I haven't experience this yet, and I've been watching for it as I've heard the same. I spoke to Bill from PHP about that and he said it was likely from people not calibrating the pcm to the larger tires. I noticed a big change in shifting, with the larger tires and uncalibrated pcm. The tranny thinks the truck is going a different speed than it actually is.

Well here it is. I absolutely love this truck, it gets major looks everywhere I go.

I have experienced the traction control suddenly cutting in when turning at speed, but hopefully that's just a result of the pcm confused by the increased tire size. My VMP tuner is in transit so I'll be able to confirm that next week.

While I think the 04-08 truck looks ideal with a 4-6" lift, the 09-10 definitely looks best with a leveling kit and slightly larger tires. Your truck looks great, perfect proportion. Love the FX4s, no ridiculous chrome overdose. I wouldn't change a thing. Well tint and exhaust, but thats personal preference.
