When is FMC gonna wake up and smell the coffee??

this new blue flame color that they come out with is awesome, but it is not offered on every truck. the blue flame is not available on trims such as lariat, platinum, kr. also, on the expedition, it is not offered at all. i do believe, however, that is offered on the explorer.

my wife would trade her 2008 expedition tomorrow if ford would offer the blue flame for it. this color looks great and should be offered on more than just the xlt and raptor.

when will ford motor company wake up and offer this beautiful color to everyone???

I like the blue color, although I do think it would look very bad over the tan lower color required on the KR.

Personally I'm glad they don't offer it on anything other then the F 150. I'd like to think I have something that's a little unique. But since I bought mine I'm seeing them everywhere.
It's rare that a week doesn't go by that someone doesn't pay me a compliment on this truck.

Maybe the Flame Blue works on some vehicles, but for me it doesn't seem to work on the F-150.

More color selection would be good though.

ive been seeing more and more on the roads too. the one dealership i drive by once in a while has 12 f150's, and 4 are flame blue, and 2 are a different blue.

That is gold in the pic, just a little deceiving because he photoshopped that image from Ford.com.

When I ordered my Lariat the Blue Flame was the color I wanted. It's offered on the FX4. So I went with the Dark Pearl Blue. But I agree with your point.

Its a sporty color, not really a luxury color. I have it on my truck but wouldnt on a Lariat/Platinum/ or KR.

the customer is always right?

i saw on my classic car you could actually order *any* color back in the day, he had a 74? torino 2door 351 4 speed coupe that the original owner special ordered with his own paint code.

it's always marketing dilweeds, "color consultants", et al. who screw things up. that's how everyone ended up with green/teal back in the day. like the king ranch in the 01-03 series, had to wait until 03 to get such exotic colors as white and black.

Ya, I agree with the color consultants should do a little more research. I love black and I never thought I would see the day when you couldn't get a gloss black Ford. To me metalic black is not a true black, looks grey in direct light, and can look almost brown at dusk and dawn, I hate it. My alternate choice is simple bright gloss white, and you could get a platinum in that normal gloss white last year 09'. Now they F-ED that up too and its only availble in the pearl metalic off white cream sorta color on a 2010Platinum.

I like that blue color, looks really sharp on a Raptor. I think the limitations are in part do to the fact I think it only works well with a grey or black interior, and the black interior is not availble on a KR or a Platinum.

i am ok with how they have it now offering certain colors for different trims, but at least give us this option: if we order one from detroit, let us pick the color. my wife and i have been told by many that ford won't allow us to choose that color for an expedition even if we wanted. they went on to say that if ford doesn't offer that color in a particular vehicle, you just can't get it. i don't see why you cannot have the color you want especially if they manufacture other vehicles using that color.

here's mine in my sig.
