Cool New here, question about front mask

Hello all!

I just picked up a 2010 Harley davidson and I am planning on taking a 400 mile road trip. I was wondering, as ugly as try are, which bras fit the 2010 harleys? I know there is always going with the clear bra but I don't see myself making many highway trips, I am just visiting an old friend this one time.

Thanks in advance!

NO on the bra dust ,sand etc will get behind it and will act like sand paper and will ruin your paint job

A bra will do more damage than it will ever save. Clear bra a new truck or nothing at all. Unless it sets in a museum it will get chipped up without protection. I already have a dozen nicks in the nose and hood at only 5k miles and 4 months old...

I have used a bra for many years on my Camaros and never had an issue. Granted, I don't use a "LeBra" version, but did get the "Wolfe" version. Heavy weight and has cotton backing on the inside.

To each his own.

I just finished putting a clear bra system on my whole front end. There were no pieces for the mirror caps, so I used the piece that was for the roof above the windshield and cut it to fit custom. I got mine off of ebay with the install kit for less than $75. The seller is Nusolis and the kit was the mega kit clear bra. I wish I would have know about this when I got my truck. It already had some nicks and chips at 3mo. before I put the clear bra on it. It is well worth it and you can barely see it on the truck.

I have a kit from the same seller on my truck. It's been on for a year now and shows some wear, but no chips in the paint.

They still make bras? I haven't seen one of those since the 80s!

LOL My thoughts exactly. Those things are fugly, though he did state it'd just be one time so I'm sure it wouldn't cause any harm. The clear #M stuff sounds cool for those who either plan to keep their truck for a very long time or do a lot of off-roading. It's too bad they don't have that stuff ready on Day 1 of a new model launch, as I'd be much more tempted to add it, even though I don't keep my trucks all that long.

Can you replace the 3M clear stuff if it starts to wear without any issues, or just remove it without any issues if you get tired of it? Just curious.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it would only be once but I think I may wing it and just get a bug shield to protect the hood. I hate the bra but it was just a quick option that is cheap.

Yes, it is my understanding that the clear bras can be removed without any issues and either replaced or left off in the future. My wife had a piece on her car that had to be replaced and it was no problem for the installer.

Was it a difficult DIY project? What skill level do you think we need to install our own clear bra?
