Sync & 911 Assist

I have a 2010 Screw with sync. My phone has the bluetooth enabled and I have the sync 911 assist turned off and every time I start my truck I get the same message. "This is to remind you that your 911 sync is turned to off." Is there a way to get this message to stop playing every time I start my truck, other than turning 911 assist back on.

I found an update on Ford's syncmyride website. There is an update that will have the words shoe up on your OBD instead of it talking to you.

Just curious, why would you want to disable 911 assist?

So if you had a GM (God forbid) with Onstar you'd disable it?

Interesting...

I actually love the look of the Sierra. Drove it liked but, the Ford had IMO a lot more interior room. One thing I hated about all GM's was the OnStar. I haven't researched it but if I could disable it I would.
