Brand preference? Any of them brake off? I know Ford addressed this, but I'm looking for some real world experiences.

I think I've seen somewhere on here where one or two 09 owners already have 50-70k miles. So they might be getting ready.

A little baffled. The breaking plug problem was solved with the redisign of the heads in early 08, so none should break. Why would you want to run anything other than Motorcraft when they work so well and last so long? Pointless.

Please say they fixed their head issues... I had to deal with 4.6 and 5.4's launching plugs from 99-03. They supposedly fixed this by going from 4 threads to 7 threads... Why can't they get it right in a decade....

Plg issues have been fixed since early 2008.

None SHOULD break. Like I said, I'm looking for real world experiences. People who have actually changed them in a 2009 or a 2010 5.4L. That's my point.

We all know what SHOULD happen & what ACTUALLY happens can be two very different things.

If I step on some toes here I'm very sorry. Not my intention. But an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The new plug used since early 2008 is a one piece plug like any other normal plug. Not the 2 piece introduced in 2004. If you break one, it is due to your own negligence as you put a socket on it and has nothing to do with the plug itself. The real world is, no problem exists.

I know about the new design. That was not my original question. I appreciate your input. Have you changed the plugs in a 2009/10? If not, lets let those who have chime in.

Thanks.
