"Oil Change Required" and "Change Oil Soon" Warnings are 2 resets

As has happened to many of us I was engaged in important matters and allowed the On Board Computer to go from the Warning (after start-up) of "Change Oil Soon", which is resetable from the procedure described by some of the Members. However, if you ignore (I know shame on me) that Warning Light the next warning is "Oil Change Required" and that's a whole new issue to resetting. The good thing here is that I am and have been a Mobil 1 user and believe (based on scientific data) that you can go further than 7,500 miles between changes. An example - Mercedes goes 15,000 between changes using Mobil 1.
So does anyone know how to rest warning light?
Thanks - and I enjoy the articles and responses I've read

Dad's old 77 F250 400 ci even had a very basic electronic ignition control module. It wouldn't start when it went bad (back in the 80's). I'm not sure what the first year was for electronic ignition, but it was previous to 77. Personally, I prefer electronic ignition to the points system. Much longer tune up interval. I had to tweak the points on my 69 every few thousand miles.

Welcome to the forum, bobblas! What's your truck's model year? I'll look into this for you and see what I can find.
