I just got my truck back from the tint shop and they couldn't do my windshield strip cause he couldn't get the review mirror off. Mine has the backup camera too. Anyone have a pointer on this? He said he would do it if I could get the mirror off.

 

There's a small base that is glued [ miracle glue I think] to the glass then the mirror is attached to that. You can break loose the base with heat but do do so you risk breaking the window !! I had to move my mirror on my old '03 so I just glued another base on rather than risk a new windshield !

 

I don't think he needs to remove the piece that's glued to the glass. It's the mirror itself.
