Thumbs down Let it be known- Aux button driving me nuts

Why is it that the stereo will search in the order of 1) Bluetooth streaming, 2) If nothing is detected on BT it defaults to Line in, never USB.

But USB is where I can use the stearing wheel controls, the cool feature thing! Line in=1998=lame

I want to plug in my ipod via USB and everytime I get in the car I have to hit the AUX button, then Menu then 2 clicks right, select source, then finally OK. Rather than just hitting AUX and it by default goes to what I used last...USB!!!

Also because I paired my phone for bluetooth phone calls, the truck will first start playing the music I have on the phone. Argh...I DON'T WANT IT TO. Where is the logic when the last time I turned the truck off it was in AUX USB with the iPod but for *****s and giggles it decides that next time I should use Bluetooth. W T F.

The only way I can bypass this idiocy of button thrashing is to make sure that unplugging the ipod is the last thing I do before getting out (and I have to wait for the truck to be off and the door open due to the fact that the stereo remains on until the door opens) and the first thing I do getting in before I start the truck.

GAH

I bought an iPod specifically for the truck and it stays plugged in unless i am putting new music on it. I have no issues at all.

You don't worry about someone seeing it and taking it from you?

Do the USB2 mod and plug you can plug whatever you want in and leave it in your glove box.

Ditto - I did the exact same thing and it almost never comes out of the glove box.

On occassion I noticed that it'll take a few seconds to find the unit if I have shut off the truck (says USB2 disconnected). If I just let it be, it'll find it again in a few seconds. Not sure why sometimes it finds it instantly and other times it disconnects.

But if I leave the truck on AUX (USB2), when I return it'll be back on that input.

Sometimes after shutting it off it won't be on USB1 or USB2 when I get back in, but sometimes it will. According to one of the ford guys on the Syncmyride site this is a known issue and will hopefully be addressed in future upgrades. It seems to only happen on the non-nav units.
