Ordered my Bedrug and ARE LSX tonneau today. I asked the dealer about the LED light option. He told me it only came with a replaceable local battery. He told me the pin switch for the lid being open to activate the light only came with the LED option. Please tell me he is mistaken? I could live with either, but how would the light know when to come on either way without a pin switch? If the light only came on when a door was open, that would kind of blow the whole idea of having a remote lid access, at least at night. He told me the light has a manual on off switch, is this true? That would suck from a battery standpoint if you forgot to turn it off. For the price of this product, that's a little disappointing.

I believe the light switch is on the gas shock. I'm not sure if it is battery or not, but I would rather tie it into 12v hot, so that you would never have to change the battery. You could probably change the lite out for a brighter one, and use their switch.
