Bug Screens?

I noticed my 09 Lariats A/C Condenser has rock chips in it and has anyone installed a bug screen either inside the hood or outside to protect it in some way?

I've placed the black mesh screen like is placed on a screen porch inside the hood behind the grill to keep the bugs out. I used small black zip ties to hold in place. It might slow up a small rock.

I'm ordering one of these.

Would be nice to NOT have to order everthing from the U.S. but they aren't too expensive.

After a few days the wrinkles did come out of it. They had it rolled up in a box when they shipped it but now its fine.

Here is a link to my "how to" on a bug screen, not only will this save you money, it will also occupy some of your time and not to mention the quailty is far better then the any other products being sold today. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Is that Pet screen or just window/ door screen?

Very slick. Might have to do something like this myself.

when I got my Fx4, I felt like the grille opening were a little too big and was concerned that were coming through after noticing a few ding marks in the rad. So i got a set of Billet grille inserts... they dont stop many bugs though.

Thanks, it is pet screen as it is stronger than your normal screen that is used for windows or screen doors.
