Painting "Chrome" OEM Parts

I recently got black rims and they look amazing, but I do have a "chrome" grill and bumpers. I would like to keep it cost effective and not have to buy new bumpers and a grill. Is it ok to paint these parts or would it come out looking terrible? I don't want a shiny black either, I want a dull black.

Check the "personal classifieds" on here. There are people who want to trade Chrome for Color bumpers and vice versa on here all the time. It will be easier to trade than try to paint the chrome.

Painting Chrome is a science but it can be done with the right prep and materials it will look great and last a long time. The issue is many people don't take the correct steps and this is why they run into issues with there paint. I'll post a step by step instruction and material list for painting Chrome later today.
