Interior Color - Black or Camel
Interior Color - Black or Camel
Getting close to pulling the trigger.
My wife has a 2005 ford sedan with tan interior. It's light and awful.
It seems like the 09/10 F150 camel color is darker. Also, the arm rest and steering wheel are grey, so it shouldn't look as dirty as older models.
I'm torn between the black or camel. Seems like camel is a lot more common ...

I've had both. The black looks nice, but the wear and tear is easy to see and it is hot. Now many have air conditioned seats, so it won't be is bad if you choose this option. However, my current F-150 has the camel and I love it. It looks good and is cooler. My Mustang has the stone. It is a little light, but I still like it.
I personally went with the camel interior. It was actually on my wish list for the options I wanted on my truck. Luckily I was able to find my dream truck that did have the camel interior. In my opinion, it looks a little better than black, and it stays a lot cooler. I live in Florida so black leather is not my friend. I did get black Weathertech floor liners, though, and I think they look pretty good with the camel. When I'm finally able to get my own dogs, I'll just flip up my backseat and let them lay on the floor/Weathertech mat so I'm not worried about them potentially messing up the leather.
Black is sexy as hell but it is kinda tough to keep clean... I'm not too worried about heat. Gotta get the black to get the locker...

I find the black to be MUCH easier to keep looking like brand-new. Once you get any sort of scuffs on the tan plastic pieces... good luck getting them out. The black also looks fantastic. The tan looks OK before it's used, but again, once it starts getting daily action... very hard to keep it looking pristine (I like to keep my truck looking like she just rolled off the assembly line).
As far as heat, I've never noticed any difference no matter what color I had, be it tan, grey or black. They all are cold in winter and sometimes warm-maybe-even-hot-on-occasion in the summer. I've never noticed my seats ever really HOT like some people seem to, then again the heat never bothers me, just the cold. If you get a Platinum they have heated and cooled seats anyways. And supposedly Ford is working on a remote start system that will activate all these items when you remotely start your vehicle, although no word on when that will be avaialble yet. My guess is 2012 on the F150.

i have the black interior with leather seats....i really like the black considering i have a black lab! that being said i like the black and the only problem is getting grass, dirt, etc. on the interior of the truck but it sure makes it easy to pin point the problem areas and vacuum it out...definitely looking into getting the weathertech floor mats as well (like i had on my '07)
I think the black leather interiors look horrible. If you don't like the tan leather i would go cloth interior, but that's just me. I thought the camel seats were only in King Ranch trucks?
