I just installed ride rites kit 2480 and the factory "Jounce bumpers" (bump stops) bent the snot out of the lower brackets that hold the air bags on. I went camping and kept hearing a clunk over big bumps and when I got to the campground I heard a real loud bang, it took a while to find the problem.

I called ride rite and they said they never heard of a problem and the instructions do say to use them, the kit doesn't fit like it should, one of the supports does not touch the axle like it should. They are sending out replacement parts and they even said they would send out the parts for free after I refused to pay. They actually tried to charge me shipping and for the parts!

There must be something different on the newer 2010's.

 

The 2400's on my F250 replaced the bumpers. I also installed limiting straps for off road and lifting the vehicle so I didn't tear the bags apart on long down travel.
