Yes unless they can show you abused it somehow. Off-Roading etc.

as you know shocks are changed in pairs make sure they change both front shocks.

I can't see them replacing both since it is just the drivers side leaking. I will ask but I doubt it.

Drivers leaking shock was covered under warranty. This was not without a fight. My original dealer seems to be reluctant on covering anything under warranty. Second time I have had a problem with them on an item that was clearly leaking. They told me that ford would only cover it if it is leaking and not sweating. A shock does not have much fluid present in it and any leak is too much IMHO. They did this to me on a tranny fluid line. Brought it in and they said they could not find the leak. I always take pictures and I caught them in a lie.

Took pics again and I will deal with them again. Took it to another dealer and no problems what so ever. They said yes its leaking, yes its covered under warranty, and a couple hours later its fixed. At this point Healy Ford in edmonton has gained my business and Freedom Ford has lost it. This is with an 09 king ranch and a 10 Ford Edge limited purchased within 9 months of each other. Moral of the story if you don't first succeed try a different dealer that cares about their customers. I would not post this if this was my first problem with Freedom Ford but this is strike number 4 so they have had plenty of opportunity to prove themselves.

Call ford directly. They will call down to the dealership and get em straight. I had a friend that had a fusion with a problem and they saw it documented over and over. He called ford and they made the dealership fix the problem outside of warranty. Shouldnt matter all warranty work is paid by ford. Dunno why any dealership would turn it down

First off, glad you got the problem resolved, that being said, what a crock of bull by your original dealer! When we pay $35-40K for a truck we shouldn't have to plead our case...if the thing isn't working, it should get replaced no questions asked (that's what bumper to bumper is all about)...the dealership sends the failed part into ford and gets it reimbursed for their efforts (from my understanding)...i had a 3rd brake light heat up and cloud the lens...the guy asked me, "did you have it on under abnormal use?" what the hell kind of question is that, do you think i decided one day to burn up my 3rd brake light for the hell of it??? after i kind of b*tched the sale rep out, he replaced it no problem....i guess i get a little testy when i spend so much and am questioned when their product fails...it should be a no brainier IMO! and BTW i asked them about the light actually failing and they just replaced the lens, IMO there is another reason the part is failing, how does a lens go bad? needless to say, i am watching the light and if it happens again i will be having them replace the entire brake light assembly, bulbs and all....
