New owner, bed ext removed questions

Just got a 09 FX4 with 7600 miles. After getting the line-x done, I realized that this truck had the bed extension option which someone kindly removed on the sales lot. I also noticed they removed the lower tie downs and pulled out one of the screw threads in the process

My question...Did the 09 FX4's come with lower tie down anchors or is that an add on? If so? Does someone have a part number?

TIA.

I have the lower tie downs on my FX4, although they don't show a part number. Did you buy the truck from a Ford dealer? I'd go back and see if they could help you out.

Unfortunately I got it on a used car lot. I hope I did OK on the price $28,300 (out the door), MSRP sticker was $38,500

09 FX4 super cab 7600 miles, Tow package, sync, side steps and bars, tailgate step, center console, captains seats, rear sensors.

I'd be more concerned with why an essentially new truck is sitting on a used car lot.

Vehicles are traded and can end up just about anywhere, doesn't mean anything is wrong. I think you did well on the price, and can pick up a used Ford gate extender or go through Tasca etc for a good price on a new one.
Enjoy your FX4 !

Thanks, I had them pull a car fax. The vehicle was originally sold 70 miles away, and the guy defaulted on the loan, so the vehicle went up for auction. It seems pretty clean.

the tie down hooks should come with the truck stock.. i would go to a local dealer about the hooks & the bed extender ask them for part numbers & look at tascaparts.com & see what deals you can get

referring to the first post on the thread, pretty sure all new F150's come with the threaded holes in the box ready for the bed extender, i bought my truck new and it has them but the extender wasn't on the original invoice....with the 04-08 era, only the trucks that came from factory )with the bed extender option) had the bed extender threaded holes....that's your useless information for the day

Nobody, including Tasca has a good price on a new extender. They are a $195 option on a new truck, and I believe Tasca wants about $300.

Everything is going to be cheaper from the factory. Tasca is asking 281.05. Much cheaper than most other dealers.

You've been seeing WHAT for $45? If you can find a 2009 or 2010 bed extender for $45, purchase it and I'll give you $200 for it.

good to know, NOW...NOT!!! yeah i went went the jefferson swap meet last weekend at saw 2 from the same guy for $45....i would have gotten one but honestly, i don't really know what i would use it for (and i would have had to re-tap he holes on my bed cause when i linex'd my truck i didn't tell them to tape them off.....i will be be going once again to the swap meet this fall and can hook you up if you remind me....honestly i see a lot of them there, for fullsize, rangers, and the explorer trucks....sorry man i read the post a week too late! i will try to see if my aunt still has hers though, she was going to give me it but as i stated before my 07 didn't come with the threaded holes so we figured screw it.....
