Min. amount that can be financed through Ford?

A current $1000 incentive from Ford is available for cash purchases, but requires financing through Ford. What? That's how I understand the fine print. I am thinking about a cash purchase, but I will finance some to get $1000. Anybody know the minimum amount that can be financed through Ford credit?

This thread has already been addressed. I asked my salesman the other day, he is pretty cool, and a straight shooter. He told me if I re-financed the day after I bought it, do you think Ford will ask you for their money back. He also went on to say, what would you tell them if they did. I told him no way, and he just laughed. He said that's what I'd tell them too. Just keep in mind, everybody might not have the credit rating, or where-with-all to either pay cash or re-finance. If they did, why would they pay 7.99%. I say take the money and run, that's what I'm doing!!

In you're case, finance the whole thing and pay it off two days later. What are they going to do, take away your birthday??

I traded my 2008 F250 KR for and FX4 F150. My trade was paid for and I wanted to pay for this one cause the difference was only 8000. I financed the 8000 just to get that extra 1000 off. I got my first statement in the mail and paid in full on the first payment. Bob G is right!! Take the money and run. Ford wont kick you for doing it. Plus the finance charge was so low it worked out in the end. Good luck

When I purchased in February, it was $7000. I looked at the most recent incentive details listed at Edmunds.com and it no longer lists anything about a minimum finance amount.

ductit and kskr - You did what I would do. I would finance only to get the $1000 and immediately payoff the loan. The less you have to borrow the better. By your experience I assume there was no early payoff penalty.

Thanks for the info everyone. Your knowledge helps make my decision.
