Roof rack options?

Are there any stake pockets under the bed caps? I need to carry some kayaks...

There are stake pockets in all four corners, under the little rectangular caps.

With a screw you should have enough room on the actual roof for two crossbars and kayak cradles?

There are no caps in my 2010 screw, just solid rubber caps.

Yeah I'm not sure - mine has one-piece rail coverings as well - no cutouts for stake pockets. I wasn't interested enough to pry mine off, sorry.

The 6 1/2 foot beds have the cutouts for the stake pockets in the plastic bed rail cover. AFAIK, the 5 1/2 foot beds do not have the cutouts in the plastic bed rail cover. However, the stake pockets might still be there on the short beds, the holes are just covered up I think.

hmmm, didnt know that. That sucks for the 5 1/2ers. Isnt that how those chrome/black rails on the bed get put on, into those pockets?

Just had my black rail caps off last night. On my 2010 Lariat shortbox there are no stake pockets. Just a ton of ugly holes for the clips that hold the caps on and a few others of unknown purpose.

Stake pockets are only on the 6.5' beds, the 5.5' don't have them. Another reason to go long!

Wow, that sucks! Just another reason to dislike the 5.5' bed, as if the look wasn't enough!
