I like the 18" Wrangler AT/S's

I was sad at first when I got the 18's on the truck I picked out of inventory. But the trad is much more aggressive than the Perelli's. The extra sidewall will be nice out on the trail against rocks. I have already been off road and they have great grip.

I like the design of the 18's over the 20's too... I like the "wrench" style... I also enjoy the extra sidewall off road.

x3 they perform decent for the oil patch off roading, highway driving and snow driving I do. I don't want M/T's because I put on way too many highway miles and M/T's suck in icy conditions. I think they are a nice all around tire for what I use. Plus they are cheaper than anything else I can find when I buy them through my Ford dealer. This is my third F150 with them.

I have been happy with mine and at 7,000 miles they seem to be wearing well.

Nevermind I have the SR-A's.

I like the wheel but hate the center cap. I think it ruins it for me. (vs the 04-08 18" FX4 wheel) 04-08 had the (fake) lug nuts showing which make em look tougher. Tryed to fit a 04-08 center cap on a 09+ wheel... Doesn't work. So I'm going with 20's.

I like the 18' wheels but am not wild about the michellins... though they are SOOOO much better than the Perellis. I'm counting thedays until the michelins are worn out so I can justify replacing them. 20"+ wheels are for soccer moms.

I had 265/70R17 AT/S on my 99 F150 stock. Lasted 60k miles. The tread got hard around 40k miles and wet/snow traction was noticeably reduced, but I milked them to 60k miles.

Maybe with factory rubber... Funny when I bought the 04, everyone said the same thing about the 18"s. Now 18's are the "tough" wheels. Not sure what all the suprdutys with 20's are?

I ended up replacing my 275/65/18 Wrangler SR-A's with the Firestone Destination AT's...its a C rated tire. Could not be happier.

I'm happy to hear this as I ordered these on my 2010 FX4. Like cndcowboy I drive on oilfield roads in Canada and the Perelli's on 20's are absolutely useless for this kind of driving.

The 20's with scorpians are great for hot soccer mom's taking the kid's to the mall.

Its really simple boys, you buy different tires for your 20" wheels. Just like that you can drive places other than your kids soccer field.

Keeping in mind this is not an inexpensive thing to do!

Those are the exact tires I am looking at upgrading to, just thinking about a little taller. Let us know how they work out. I have the Destination M/T's on my 2000 and have been really happy with them but don't think I need a mud tire on my new truck. The A/T's got great reviews on tirerack.com last I looked.

Toyo makes the Open Country A/T in 4 ply, C and E rated in that size. I have the 10 plys... Second set. Love them. They'll outlast the Firestones...
