wishful thinking

I took my 2010 screw w/5.4l and 4x4 on it's first road trip. Round trip it was 260 miles all on freeway at cruse set on 75 mph. Truck had 1013 miles on it when I started. Now for the good stuff. When I hit home the avg. mpg said 20.1. I am thrilled to see those kind of numbers with a truck with so little miles. My wishful thinking is I hope it goes up from there. What do you all think my chances are of seeing better mpg.

I think that's probably as good as you're going to get. The display MPG is higher than your actual MPG too or at least most people's is by about 1 MPG.

Until winter hit last year, my avg was 15.4MPG. Went down to 13.4MPG soon as the fall/bad weather started to hit. It hasn't really gone up at all to this point (13.7MPG right now), which is a bit worrisome as I thought it would go back to 15.4 when the nice weather arrived this year.

That is with 99% city driving.

So I wouldn't expect that sort of MPG to continue, unless you continue to only do long flat highway driving on cruise control. Start & stop traffic seems to really rip MPG a new one with such a heavy vehicle, probably even more so with me since I don't baby her at all, and am almost always the first off the line at every stop or light.

Damn goose, thats pretty darn good. I dont think it will get any better on its own. You can add some mods to see some good increases though

It should go back up when the winter blend gas is all gone.

The best I saw was 16mpg on a mostly highway route.
