I rarely see any 09 Flareside trucks around, and I'm interested to know how many of you guys own them.

Post some pics if you have them. I will try to post some of mine when I figure out how.

Mine is a SCREW 4x4 in tuxedo black with brilliant silver bottom. 5.4 XLT with 20"wheels, loaded to the gills with options. (it was a dealer demo)

 

I have an 09 Flareside Scab STX 4x4. I think we own the last of the line as far as flareside beds go. I can't find them on the Ford website when using build your own so I guess 09 was it. I never used to like them but this one caught my attention, mostly due to the color. I need to get some updated pics, these were taken at the dealer the day nI bought it. I have removed the awful looking STX decals from the bed and replaced them with some simple 4X4 decals. I've also added black running boards, an Extang FullTilt bedcover and Magnaflow SIDO stainless steel exhaust. Looking to get some wheels soon. When ordering the bedcover, I had to order the 04-08 flareside cover as they didn't even list the 09 but I measured mine against an 07 and they are exactly the same dimensions.

That is brilliant silver paint, 2 tone I guess it is called, from the factory. You can still order that way, just not with the flareside bed.

I just replaced the tail lights with LED versions. No pics of them yet, but stay tuned...

 

I'm pretty sure only Brilliant Silver was available in '09, and '10 they changed it to Ingot Silver. Could be wrong though, maybe Ingot was avaialble as a two-tone. But I first ordered a 2009 Platinum in Brilliant Silver, then changed my mind to White Sand. I'd imagine the two-tone's were the same Brilliant Silver.

 

I love the Flairsides. I wish Ford didn't stop making them.

I stand corrected, sir. You made me go out to my truck and look at the window sticker, and sure enough, it says brilliant silver accent in the option column.

Thanks for the link. Maybe you can put up some pics with them on and then with the brake lights on. I bet they look great on your black truck. I like the black even for me truck as most of the trim on mine is black.

I know they might be fairly rare but I'm sure there's more than 2!!!!!
