Baking????

I read on a toyota forum a while back that people were "baking" their head lights.

They place them in the oven, heat them up so the factory glues loosen up, pull them apart and the proceed to paint them how they please. once dry they seal them back up with silicone...I think.

Has anyone tried this on our trucks??? I tried a search but all I could find was LED and Harley light threads.

If it will work it could be a cheap way to black out the stock heads and tails!!!

Insight needed!!

Tony

this is a common thing people do on other cars. alot of the mustang guys do this to repair the water saturation in the headlights. they bake it and then reseal it with better sealant. it can be done with just about any headlight. i would do a general google search if you want more information.
