OK...first off, the instructions that came with the key are wrong. Instead of moving the key from position 3 to 4, you must move it from position 1 to 3, as is stated in the owners manual.

I only have the keyless remote programed so far, since I need to get the key cut so it will turn in the ignition. Hopefully I can go somewhere tomorrow to get that done. Then I will be able to finish the process and have a fully functioning flip key.

Stay tuned...

...old news for some, new for the ones involved here.

I have an idea...go find another thread that you didn't already hear about.

UPDATE I had the key ground this morning, and I programed it right away.

It works perfectly!

artiway was the seller on ebay, and I would buy from him again without thinking twice.

Good luck to others doing this mod.

I was just looking at that key and the seller says it will work with the 2010's as well. Does the key lock in the extended position and then you push the button to collapse the key?

I think I'm going to get that key myself I just want to make sure it locks so it's not flimsy when you try and put it in the ignition.

Yes, the key locks in the open position, and closes by pushing the button.

It seems to be fairly sturdy and you don't have the old key fob dangling and banging around your steering column when driving on rough roads.

Worked with my 06 KR.....I didn't have the flip version, but I had the four button all in one type key.....I don't think you will have any problems.

Just bought the wife a new Chrysler 300C and it has the Mercedes style one piece key. It is all plastic and works on a sensor. No more getting keys cut. I wish Ford would go to this.

You guys are buying the 3-button from TAIWAN?
I have the "new" body style 2004 F150 and I've been searching EBAY but the only ones that come up are from TAIWAN......

Anybody got a link to a 3-button from an AMERICAN EBAY seller?
THX!
