Small Ink stain

I was a little careless when I was signing my receipt for my prescription and I the ink pen jumped out of my hand and hit the door. You can't really see it in the pic but i notice it and it bothers me so much. Any ideas on how to get this stain out!!!!!!

Is that vinyl? You could try a little WD40 on a rag.

Haven't tried that yet. And yeah It's the vinyl next to the door handle. I was skittish on trying oils because I don't know what will damage it and what won't.

I used to work in a print shop a -looong- time ago when I was in high school. The trick we used then was hair spray. It worked wonders getting ink out of fabrics. I think it was just the alcohol in the hairspray that was actually doing the work - but whatever it was it took care of several ink stains that made it onto the light tan velour interior of my Firebird - and it made my curly permed mullet look nice, too.

Given that you're on vinyl, though, I imagine any cleaner would work without damage.

I have used WD40, hairspray, alcohol, and Simple Green in the past and all seem to work well.
