Cool Electrical Problems?

This morning when I first started my truck, none of the controls in the center of the dash besides the radio on/off worked. no heat/AC, no heated seats. I tried shutting the truck off and removing the key, then letting it sit for about a minute and starting it back up (I even opened the door so everything shut off before letting it sit). After it started back up, the problem was still there. Next, I attempted percussive maintenance (I hit the dash), this corrected the problem. I have a fairly extensive knowedge of electronics and from what I know, this is not a good sign. Has anybody else experienced anything like this? I'm hopeing this is a fluke and doesn't happen again but I'm still worried.

Nope, nothing like that in any of my current or previous Fords.

Try tightening the nut that connects the seat to the steering wheel. (Just kidding)
