Can you install a cruise controler setup on a 2009 f150 that didnt orginally come factory with one. I mean can install all the stuff and it work. Someone told me it wouldnt. Just trying to find out before my brother buys all the stuff and then it doesn`t work. Thanks

 

i was going to buy a steering wheel off of ebay with cruise and it says you need the dealer to program it, I called my dealer and they said they cant program it and they need to wait for ford to send them the program to do it, but i have heard of others who say they got it done. so maybe some dealers have the program where as other dont, I will be waiting to see if my dealer gets the program and playing it safe.

BULLPUCKY! I have a stock '09 XL, that I put the cruise on. Just get a steering wheel with the controls, and it plugs into the standard harness. The dealer just goes in and turns it on with the standard diagnostic computer. Mine works perfect, and even lights up the cruise light in the dash.

Do a search my ID, or for cruise control. I had a link out there for a company that not only sold the part, but had a handy printout to take to the dealer. I put it in late last summer.
