.......The only thing I don't like is the step bars...too narrow and I dont like the placement of the pad it's hard to use when getting out. I'm always stepping on the pipe instead of the pad.

Try swapping sides, the instructions that came with my "nerf" bars did the same. I switched sides and they are aligned perfect. (pads in the right spot) {my wifey is 4' 11" => the bars are a necessity}

BTW I have an 09 reg cab. yours looks like a Million $$$ nice ride!!!

I disagree! I have an 09 XL long bed 4x4 with the 5.4....I believe that Ford would only deliver these as fleet purchases of 10 or more.

Im pretty sure you can get a 5.4 in the XL, not even fleet. Its the work truck, you would think they would offer the big motor.

Nice rides! As soon as I'm out of college in a year or 2 and working in the fields, I would love to have a regcab/6.5 box Fx4 with the 6.2 engine. Hopefully they have them by then.

Just as an update to my previous post...I ordered Ford OEM running boards and I installed them last night. MUCH better than what I had on there before. The plastic step is much longer and wider and best of all it's in the right place.

I absolutely love regular cabs. To me, the STX regular cabs are the best looking trucks ever built.

Nah, got mine almost a month ago now. I got mine from Mid-Tenn Ford Trucks in Nashville and the truck actually came from a dealership in Lebanon, TN.

I need to take some more pictures, but I don't really like blurriness of my camera phone.

Just wondering. Does it have the floor shifter for the 4x4 or the switch on the dash? Sweet truck.

Mine has the switch, but you can get them either way.

Wow, that is odd. Looks like JoenDoodle has the same issue, with the running board "step" being too far forward. That company needs to change it's install instructions - or perhaps just read them upside down.

I talked to a rep at Raptor and he said the pad is supposed to be lined up with the floor board, I think it's a bad design, in my opinion it would be better centered with the door opening..but I guess that's why I'm not an engineer.

I am going to bring a Nikon D80 to work on Thursday so you can get some good pictures!
