Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the posts I read and re-read all of them. Last night I purchased my truck; 2010 F-150 FX4! I didn't bother with the Lux Package, it didn't really have anything I wanted, not a fan of leather in Canadian winters, hot summer cold winter. Went with the S-crew just for having the extra space when/if I need it. The truck at the dealership had a moonroof and power sliding rear window so I got those too. Wasn't really into the moonroof, until the sales rep opened it on the test drive....haha oops.
Just waiting for the dealership to do the spray on bed liner (saved $300) and the rust protection package, getting the truck on Friday. If there are any other Canadians out there considering a new F-150 or any Ford for that matter, I strongly recommend that you take advantage of the Employee Discount promotion that Ford is offering until the end of August, the savings were unbelievable. I'm super pleased with what I got for the price I paid.
Thanks to everyone who posted some information on here, it really helped me once it came time to choose my truck.

Happy driving!

I picked the screw 5.5ft bed fx4. I prefer the center console and black interior of the FX4. The XLT's were all cream colored seats. Also got e locker, 3.73 and tow pkg, fogs, keyless entry, autolamp, all incl in FX4.

I decided I didn't want to compromise on the XLT.

The screw is the only choice for me. My last bachelor truck was a xcab and I had to dump it when my family grew by two shepherds. I wish I would have started out with a screw last time. I would not have bought a second new truck within 4 years.

Does it make that much of a difference with kids in the back of and Xcab VS a Screw? I want something to take my kids along but we will only take long trips in the Freestar. Most of my truck use will be my ~10-mile commute to work.

In my opinion, a huge difference with kids. That's why I finally upgraded to a supercrew. I wish I had it with the rear facing seats, but now even more important. If they are not that interested in getting in the car seat, they will stick their legs out straight and make it where you have to stuff them back there. Then while driving down the road, you can feel them kicking their muddy feet against the back of the seat. Now, with the supercrew, even being a tall person, they can't even come close to kicking the front seat. Also much easier to get them in and out of the back in a tight parking space.
