Do any of you XL owners have vinyl seats? And if so, how do you like them? (and any pics?)

I'm looking to possibly get a new truck next year, and I think I'd like to go with vinyl seats and floors for durability. I have put husky liners in all my vehicle floors, so I don't see any purpose for me to get carpet anymore. Thanks for any help.

Here's what I'm looking to build next year, except it will be a 2011:

Model:
2010 F-150 XL SuperCrew, Styleside 5-1/2' Box, 4X4, 4.6L 3V EFI V8 Engine, Electronic 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with Tow/Haul Mode, 3.55 Non-Limited Slip Axle Ratio

Packages:
Power Equipment Group

Exterior:
Sterling Grey Metallic
Fixed Rear Window with Privacy Glass
Power Side Mirrors
17" Grey Styled-Steel Wheels (I will eventually get aftermarket wheels\tires).

Interior:
Stone Grey
Black Vinyl Flooring
AM/FM Stereo and Clock
Vinyl Front Seat, 40/20/40

For what ever reason, I couldn't pick it as an option on the website, or it would majorly alter my package in some way. But yea, I definitely want to see about getting limited slip added... and a rear sliding window.

Mine has cloth. I've logged about 100 hours driving a vinyl seat E-150 though and I do not think I could do it for the ten years I plan on owning my truck. Have you ridden in one?

My current F150 has cloth too, and it's held up quite well for the 9 years I've had this truck. However, I do steam clean it every so many years since I'm hard on the truck inside and out.

In the summer, I'm constantly hoping in my truck in a wet bathing suit while loading my boat on the trailer at the ramp. I also go camping often and have people climbing in my truck who are wet\muddy. Plus I have a Labrador who loves to go for rides, and he sheds like crazy. So, having a durable interior that is easy to clean\vacuum\wipe down would be sweet. The trucks with leather (brand new) are a bit more then what I'm willing to spend at this point in my life, so vinyl seems like a feasible option if I special order my truck with all the options I want\need.

I haven't been in a new F-150 yet. But I'm fixin' to start looking and deciding on my next truck in the near future. Below is a pic I snipped from a member who posted he has an XL in the "which truck did you choose" poll. He appears to have vinyl seats, and they look really nice from the pic, almost like leather. I'm thinking Ford has improved the quality of "vinyl" seats, and they might be a decent option for me.

Sounds good, just take a long test drive to be sure it is what you want.

i have the vinyl seats and i wouldnt have it any other way... they are way comfortable! even my wife says they are and she drives a bmw, they clean way easy and so far have held up pretty good, i am constantly in the mud and cant fathom how many countless hours i would be scrubbing if i had cloth seats! i keep a box of armor all quick clean wipes in the truck and can clean the whole interior including the carpet delete floor in less than 10 minutes! and everyone who looks at the truck is like damn thats nice leather... lol

Perfect! Thanks for the information. Those vinyl seats do look really great. (I snipped the pic from your profile actually). Nothing like the vinyl seats of the old days, which was just a bench seat that had no maneuverability. I'm glad to see Ford used the same structured seats across the board, even vinyl! I'm definitely sold on the vinyl package, thanks again for the information.
