Does your 09-10 F150 with a 6" lift with 35's fit in your 7' garage door opening??

 

My truck measures 82.5" with a 6" lift and 35" Toyo's.

 

so yes or no? DeereGeff, I know yours and my truck are the exact same height or at least within 1/2 an inch. Does your fit in your garage? I don't have a garage since I live in an apartment, but I will eventually and it would be nice to know.

Do you lose any clearance from the door opening on a 7' door?

 

7 Feet = 7*12 or 84"
Truck = 82.5"

Opening > truck

 

I have a 6in bds lift and 35's on my 2010 fx4 screw. it will not fit in my garage, i backed it in one day to install my bedrug and bakflip and stopped just before the cab because it looked like it was about to hit the cab.
I assume its an average 7ft door, but u have to clear the door that rolls up, and seems to sit lower then the opening. either way look at a ruler and see how much an inch and a half is, im not willing to risk it on that.

I had the same problem looking for a auto car wash...they are all at 7ft around here.

 

Yes, I understand the math thanks. But most roll up garage doors lose a certain amount of that clearance from the door not going up all the way.

My garage opening is 6" 10", so you loose about 2" of clearance for the door trim and weather strip. It would be very close. Thanks for the replies.

 

My truck don't. Not sure exact height of my door opening but it wont fit.

 

You can usually adjust your garage door to open further. I had to do that to mine.

 

I was being a bit of a smartass honestly.

I figure if you would clear, it'd be with about half an inch, at the most.

 

I agree, I have adjusted the door for more travel to get the full opening in the past. It fit's in my garage, but I have an 8' door in my garage. However, it also fits in the local drive through car washes that are marked at 7'.

 

interesting, ive been afraid to attempt it. do you take off your antenna, and how much clearence you got left?

The car washes here also say not to bring extra long trucks thru, but dont say how long...not sure if a screw with a 6.5ft bed counts...cuz this biatch is long

 

I run mine through the local car wash and have not had any problems, so far.

I also have the 8 foot door openings......thanks God.

 

my ant. hit on the height bar, on a parking garage, and i only have a 3" level and 33" tires , it probably would have fit but i wasnt trying ..

 

my stock FX4 doesn't fit in my garage...not for height but length. about 2"
