might be getting WAY ahead of myself, but, what the h*ll...

I have an '09 white sand lariat and I am looking at a few different options in mind...

First off, I ordered an '09 XLT chrome edition grille for my truck cause I hate the look of a lariat grill and I have a few differnet options on what I'm looking at for future mods...these mod's basically include painting the new grille (if possible), either way, it's been bought so there's no turning back now.

1. Buy PTM front and back bumpers with the surround of the new grille PTM (if possible)

2. PTM bumpers, PTM new grille surround, and PTM "6" bars in center as well.

3. PTM grille surround, leave the bumpers chrome and put stainless rocker's around the truck (if you have a link for nice rockers/pictures, it would be appreciated).

4. Don't paint the grille, leave the bumpers and get stainless rockers, and add HD/Raptor heads.

I am keeping the badges/OEM running boards chrome cause I like the look. A low profile chrome tool box will probably be added this summer.

Wheels and tires are last on the list (hoping new 285/55/20's will fit on the '07 rims without a leveling kit and have absolutely no rubbing).

I think paint upgrades will make the truck look stronger vs. getting new wheels/tires and drop $2200 right off the bat (like I did on my last truck with 20x9 Moto Metal 951's)....

I need to mention that I have also ordered the HD/Raptor tails cause I hate the look of the stock tails and am thinking of the HD/rator heads in the future (the front heads look good for now in my opinion).

As it sits my truck will have the xlt chrome edition gille and HD/raptor tails regardless, I'm just looking for opinions on what to blow my money on next.

All opinions will be greatly considered (besides starting all over and buying a different truck, haha), everyone on this forum has great looking trucks, just wondering what others would do if they were in my shoes, THANKS IN ADVANCE! other opinions from my thoughts? feel free to post!

here is the pic of my truck and the grille that is in the mail, I will post pics once I get the HD/Raptor tails and the grille installed.

Start off with the Raptor heads and tails and the chrome package grille and see what it looks like. If you didn't have to change bumpers that would be a huge savings and I am always wary of aftermarket paint jobs pealing on the bumpers. One thing I do not care for would be the stainless rockers.

The new grill looks nice. IMO the HD heads are ridiculously overpriced and don't make much of a difference on a white truck like yours. On dark trucks the white outline looks funny but on white trucks, a black outline would look funny.

I agree with you on leaving the badges on - I think they all look just fine.

Overall I don't really see wasting a bunch of money on PTM body parts. I would spend your money on a toolbox like you said and save the rest for wheels/tires later on.

Swap the grill and tails, and when the tires wear out get some 285's and be done with it. Looks just great as it is.

I would leave your heads and tails, they look fine on the white truck. PTM the front and rear bumper along with the grill surround (to match your PTM mirror caps) would give your truck a nice clean look, and leaving those 6 bars would leave just a right amount of chrome IMO. Great looking truck by the way, and I would have traded my XLT grill for your Lariat, I think the Lariat ones look great.

I suggest getting PTM bumpers and keep the current grill. Just a little bling is tasteful, plus it ties in your F150 badges elsewhere on your truck plus the chrome in the stock headlight housing and tail lights. (I realize you are getting the HD versions but may want to hold off on that until you see the PTM bumpers installed).

Here's my opinion, give me the truck.

Not sure how it would look, but what if you PTM the black piece on the bumper?

haha thanks, sorry but the truck is going to sit with me at least for the next ten years (hopefully). but you raise an interesting idea, i have been wondering what options are out there for the ugly plastic by the licsense plate, was thinking of adding some square driving lights in this area or something like that, painting it would definately be an interesting option...don't know why ford went with this design in the first place. it looks odd IMO...

It'd be unique (at least I haven't seen anyone else do it) cheap and you could do it yourself. Then if you do decide to go with PTM bumpers it's not like you're out a lot of money.
