Wiring Door Locks For Remote Start
Wiring Door Locks For Remote Start
Anyone have experience installing the CA 671 in an 09??
I ordered a Code Alarm 671 for my 09 and am about to do the install and just wanted to get the wiring under control before I start hacking the truck apart.
Is it possible to wire the 09's without the use of relays so that you still have the click once to open drivers door and twice for all four doors?
I haven't really looked at my truck's door lock wiring, but the diagram I have says that the 3 wires to tie into (Lock wire/Unlock wire/Drivers door motor wire) are all in the "Smart Junction Box". I was hoping that I wouldn't have to run a relay for the drivers door motor wire and could just tie my "unlock wire" to this (hopefully low current) wire and the 2nd stage wire for all 4 unlocks to the lock/unlock switch wire. Is this possible? Or do I need to run a relay to the drivers door motor wire?
Or am I way out to lunch?
