iPod and Sync

Noticed something weird with my iPod behavior and the Sync system. For some reason the songs will NOT play in the order they are on the iPod. I have turned shuffle OFF and they play in alphabetical order.

How can I get the Sync system to play the music on the iPod in the right order?

You have to create a playlist. Then say "Play Playlist (playlist name)" That's the only way I know to do it. If you do it any other way it reverts to alphabetical.

Does anyone know how to make it recognize a song on the iPod? I have all of my songs in there and when I say "Play Track Empire State of Mind" it plays something totally different. I know I have at least 4 songs of each artist but it only recognizes two of them. I've tried renaming them in my iTunes and everything...any ideas?

You probably need to run "Sync my iTunes". Go to sync's website, snycmyride.com I think, and do a search for "sync my itunes". It's a program that will update all of your itunes songs so that sync can recognize them.

I found the ipod to be a bit of a pain, so I put all my tunes on a flash drive.....no wire, no indexing, no problems!!
